CALCULUS WORKTEXTS

Dr. McAskill worked with Edvantage Interactive and three co-authors from St. Michaels University School to develope worktexts and digital support resources for two calculus courses: AP Calculus AB and BC Calculus 12. Each worktext allows teachers to add their favourite content – labs, worksheets, activities, notes, review or even web-based content – web links, videos or simulations. Teachers create their own personal book and digital support.

DATAFLOW LEARNING

Hold Fast was contracted by Dataflow Learning to assist in managing the writing of assessment items for the US Aleph Math digital resource.

MATHLINKS 8 TO 10: PATHWAYS TO SUCCESS

Dr. McAskill was the Senior Consultant and co-author of MathLinks, a learning resource developed by Nelson & McGraw Hill Education to align with British Columbia's student reporting requirements. It assists teachers in integrating the new BC core and curricular competencies through clear identification of curricular competency questions. The resources provide students with opportunities for Inquiry-Based learning through open and active explorations, tasks, projects and rich problems.It includes Tasks and Projects that were designed to promote an inquiry approach to learning. Projects were also developed to further promote hands-on learning and connecting math to real life.
